Documents will be created at 32-bit (16 million color) depth.  There will be a linear keying alpha channel.

Documents will be created at 16-bit (32,000 color) depth.  There will be an on/off alpha channel.

Documents will be created at 8-bit (256 color) depth.

Documents will be created at 4-bit (16 color) depth.

Documents will be created at 2-bit (4 color) depth.

Documents will be created in black-and-white.

Documents will be created with the same color configuration as the deepest (most colorful) screen on which the document window will appear.
